Almost everyone who witnessed his great work in Ring of Honor said that Adam Cole was made for WWE, and so it has proved over his first ten months down on NXT.

If the latter half of 2017 was about establishing him as one of the brand's top heels, this year has been an illustration of what he can do in the ring. Already, he's been involved in two of the 2018's best matches, including one that scored five stars from Dave Meltzer.

Let's face it, the other wasn't bad either. He and Aleister Black beat the ever-loving crap out of each other at TakeOver: Philadelphia, and he was duly rewarded the next night with a special cameo appearance in the Royal Rumble.

Fast forward a couple of months and he's currently walking around with two title belts, the latter of which - the North American Championship - he is the inaugural holder after victory in a stunning five-man ladder match in New Orleans.
