10 Best WWE Performers Of 2018 (So Far)
3. Aleister Black
NXT's resident Dutchman has enjoyed an absolutely stellar first half of 2018, capped off by winning his brand's biggest prize at TakeOver: New Orleans in April.
That was the second of two incredible matches he's fought so far this year, the other being the brutal Hardcore bout he shared with Adam Cole back in January, the one that effectively set him up as the heir to Andrade Amas' throne.
We're not counting stuff that happened previous to the 1st of January, but the fact that his rise to the top of the card has been preceded by a solid year of putting some of WWE's best in-ring performances underlines why he's held in such high-esteem.
As for his future, wearing the NXT Title is usually a sign that your main roster call-up isn't too far away, and if he carries his current vein of form onto Raw or SmackDown, there's every chance he could be a major player by next year's WrestleMania.
