10 Best WWE PPV Endings Ever

2. CM Punk Leaves Town With WWE Title - Money In The Bank 2011

In this modern age, there are very few moments that stack up against the legendary Attitude Era - and even the Rock 'n Roll Era of the 1980s. However, back in 2011, CM Punk, Vince McMahon and John Cena played their part in one of the most memorable pay-per-view endings of all-time. For weeks, Punk had been declaring that once he beat Cena for the WWE Championship in Chicago - his hometown - he would leave the company, after insisting he had not signed a new deal. McMahon tried his best to tie Punk down to a deal, but the Straight Edge Superstar was having none of it; his aim was clear, to win the WWE Championship and never come back. Everyone assumed Punk was leaving in reality, but nobody expected him to leave with the championship. Their match was incredibly absorbing at times; so good in fact, that you forgot the storyline surrounding the match at times. In fact, it's one of the most brilliant matches the WWE has put on in years. That alone makes it a worthy addition to this list, but what followed to conclude the match was absolutely amazing. To the shock of everyone around the world, Punk scored the winning pinfall on Cena to win the WWE Championship. Unsurprisingly, the reaction he received from his fellow Chicago patrons was electrifying - they couldn't believe what they had seen. McMahon was beside himself with shock, and Punk closed the show by running through the crowd and exiting the building in shocking fashion. Wrestling sometimes provides moments that nobody could have seen coming. Brock Lesnar's victory over The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX is a recent example of that - but CM Punk took it to a whole new level back in 2011.
