10 Best WWE PPV Endings Ever

10. Backlash 2000

We start with a rivalry that was almost perfect for the Attitude Era - and it was one that centered around Vince McMahon. In the months and years prior to Backlash 2000, his chosen champion was The Rock - much to the disdain of WWE fans all across the world. However, just before Backlash, McMahon tipped the scales and changed everything. He threw his support behind champion Triple H, and made things almost impossible for the challenger. Shane McMahon was named as the guest referee, and Vince and Stephanie were in the corner of the champion. Despite that though, The Rock refused to give in. He kicked out constantly, despite McMahon hovering over the two trying to influence the result. McMahon pummeled The Rock with a chair, but then everything changed. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's music hit, and he cleaned house with a steel chair. That gave the advantage to The Rock, who capitalized to win the WWF Championship. The fact that it was the two biggest stars of the Attitude Era - perhaps three, if you include Vince McMahon - who played the starring role in this ending means it simply had to make the list. It was an epic finale, and was a classic case of good prevailing over evil, something wrestling fans absolutely love.
