10 Best WWE PPV Endings Ever

9. New Year's Revolution 2006

These days, a successful cashing in of a Money in the Bank briefcase is common. We've seen some brilliant instances from down the years - with Dolph Ziggler's effort in 2013 one of the most memorable moments. However, this legacy all started way back in 2006, as Edge cashed in his briefcase to become the first star to do it. It all came about after John Cena had won the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber, and he was still recovering on the mat when Vince McMahon came out. He announced that he was making an impromptu championship match, as Edge was cashing in his briefcase. Two spears later, Edge was the new WWE Champion - much to the shock of everyone in attendance. These days, we are accustomed to seeing a Money in the Bank briefcase being cashed in, but back in 2006 it was completely unheard of. The reaction of the crowd when Edge scored the winning pin was outstanding, and is largely the chief reason this ending was so good. It was hugely dramatic, and amazingly controversial.
