10 Best WWE Promo Guys Of The Attitude Era

9. Vince McMahon

"What a maneuver!" The chairman of the board himself, we can't think of another owner of a Fortune 500 company that's competed in steel cage matches, ladder matches and street fights. Say what you like about Vince but he's always willing to do whatever it takes to take the WWE to the next level and that includes getting in the ring himself. He started his on-screen career as a commentator for many years before moving into a more prominent role when his ownership of the company was acknowledged in kayfabe. The infamous Montreal Screwjob incident saw the birth of the Mr. McMahon evil boss character and Vince played the sinister egotistical schemer role to the hilt. He was smart enough to realise that 90% of people hate their boss and gave the blue collar tweener Steve Austin the greatest foil he'd ever have. When Vince picked up the microphone, there was an air of arrogant swagger behind every word he spoke. It's no surprise he wanted to be a wrestler growing up, his father Vince Snr. forbidding him from doing so. In a manner, Vince got his wish anyways. He's one of the greatest heels of all time and he reminded you every time there was a mic in his hands. Don't cross the boss!
