6. Kurt Angle Returns

Kurt Angle coming back "home" for one final run seems obvious now, but there was a time when many fans were beginning to doubt it it would ever happen (in fact, Kurt actually spent a longer stretch of his career with TNA than WWE).

The Olympic gold medallist burned his bridges with Vince McMahon in spectacular fashion in 2006, ostensibly owing to disagreements pertaining to his health and vacation time - only for him to then sign a long-term deal with their emerging rivals down in Florida.

So it's fair to say that the sight of him standing on the Hall of Fame stage earlier this year, necking back a pair of milk bottles after one of the all-time great induction speeches, represented a huge turnaround in their relationship.

And whilst his subsequent comeback to the ring didn't have the sort of build-up everyone would have liked - he was called up as a last-minute replacement for Roman Reigns - there wasn't a dry eye in the house when he emerged from the back to help his Shield teammates to victory.
