10 Best WWE Returns Of The Decade
1. The Hardy Boyz - WrestleMania 33
When The New Day appeared on stage at WrestleMania 33 to announce that a new team had been added to the Raw Tag Team titles Ladder Match, the Camping World Stadium roared with excitement. Rumours had been circling all day, claiming that Matt and Jeff Hardy were in town for the Showcase of the Immortals, so when Team Xtreme jumped out from the curtain with more energy than they had during their youth, the whole place went crazy.
It might not have been the most unexpected return ever (given the rumours), but it was one of the most unlikely. It had been eight long years since the Hardy Boyz had teamed together in WWE, and throughout those years, there were many times that it just felt like it was never going to happen again. But somehow, someway, the stars aligned and the pair came home to an amazing response from around 75,000 people - which just highlighted how much they had been missed.
Moreover, much like the Dudleys' 2015 comeback, it was a return that the tag team division desperately craved and this was a chance for long-standing WWE fans to relive the division's glory days through the returning legends.
With that in mind, it was only fitting that the pair kick-started this new phase of their career in the same reckless fashion in which they had succeeded before, capping it all off by winning the Raw Tag Team Championships in a Ladder Match on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Thrilling and nostalgic, it doesn't get any better than this.
