10 Best WWE Returns Of The Decade

9. Brock Lesnar - Raw (2 April 2012)

These days, the idea of a Brock Lesnar return may induce a number of eye-rolls from members of the WWE Universe exhausted at his part-time shtick, but there was once a time when it was genuinely awe-inspiring. That time was 2012 and the reason why it was so awesome was down to the fact that Lesnar hadn't been part of the company in eight years.

A star that burned so brightly yet disappeared so quickly, 'The Beast's relatively brief tenure in WWE at the beginning of his career is still held in high regard as one of the most dominant runs in the company's history and this left us all hoping that he would return one day. That day came on the Raw After 'Mania when Lesnar shockingly interrupted John Cena and laid him out with a single F-5. It wasn't the most unexpected of returns - highlighted by the 'Brock Is Back' signs in the crowd - but it was an emphatic one.

A more mature monster with a decorated career in the UFC, this was a very different Lesnar than the one that left WWE back in 2004, but it was one that wasted absolutely no time reminding us just how dominant he was. And what a reign of terror it would lead to.
