10 Best WWE Royal Rumble Commercials Ever
9. 2011
2011 is another fairly generic Royal Rumble advert effort, but it does have two very strong things going for it. One of these is 'Dramatic Voice Man', whose presence instantly makes thing exponentially better. If you ever need something to become more dramatic than it already is, Dramatic Voice Man is the one you need to call.
The second positive from this video is the Michael Jackson 'Black or White'-esque face morphing that runs through the commercial. Face-morphing is a hugely underused trope in WWE programming, as it makes for a curious yet engaging spectacle. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, Vladimir Kozlov is the first face presented here.
In fact, if you stop the video at any point during the face-morphing you get yourself a blast from the past. Look, there's DH Smith! Chavo Guerrero! Justin Gabriel! This was the year that 40 men entered the Royal Rumble, and there was a small amount of foreshadowing towards the end, as Alberto Del Rio was showcased before the commercial came to an end.
Another solid effort from WWE.
