10 Best WWE Royal Rumble Commercials Ever

Whilst a solid argument could be made for the 2013 Royal Rumble advert placing higher in the list, there are a couple of things that irritate about this commercial. The premise is fine enough, a number of young and attractive folk discussing the forthcoming Rumble in a bar, putting forward their picks to win the whole thing. It is a nice idea, and gets over the immensity of the match no problem.

The issues come with the young and attractive folk and their picks. None of these men and women, with the exception of the Internet fan who can't choose between Ziggler, Kofi or Daniel Bryan, speaks like a wrestling fan at all. To make matters worse, the final woman can't decide between Ryback or The Shield, showcasing little knowledge of how the Royal Rumble works. How could The Shield win?!

What makes it all that more frustrating, is that all of these 'wrestling fans' fail to notice the walking advertisement sat at the bar, as eventual 2013 Rumble winner John Cena sits reading his daily news. In a way, it was as real a commercial as you could get at the time, a number of options put forward when the only real ending was 'LOL CENA WINS'.

A fine premise, but the execution left too many questions.
