1. Kane

2001’s Rumble is a contender for the best ever, and a big part of that is the remarkable performance from Kane. At the peak of his powers (and in his best ever ring gear), the Big Red Machine tears through the competition in a believably terrifying fashion.

He gets to do a bit of everything here - smash a guitar over Honky Tonk Man’s head, hurl lower midcarders over the ropes with utter disdain, take a real scalp in The Rock, and finally face off with Stone Cold Steve Austin for an electric conclusion that could have gone either way.

As the most reliable pro in the business, it’s no surprise Kane holds the record at 19 Rumbles performed in. His current status is unknown, but Glenn Jacobs is in decent enough shape and could easily notch another Rumble or two before he finally hangs up the mask.

As a character, Kane never needed a Rumble win, but when he’s deployed in the Rumble, you know things are about to get real. With a record 43 elmininations to his name, it’s undeniable that Kane has brought a great deal to this most exhilarating of events.
