10 Best WWE Royal Rumble Performers (Who Never Won The Rumble)

2. Chris Jericho

There’s a strong argument to be made that Jericho is pro wrestling’s all time GOAT, and while he’s not quite the finest performer ever to fall short in the Rumble, his multiple appearances in the event generated some highlights in a truly remarkable career.

Typical for Jericho, the Rumble has provided a little bit of everything. There are some incredible athletic performances, including the likes of 2016 and 2017, both of which saw Y2J in the Iron Man position. He has injected the event with his brand of genuinely funny comedy, and used the Rumble to further or reignite rivalries, like with Shawn Michaels in 2003 and Dolph Ziggler in 2013.

He can also claim ownership of one of the finest Final Two segments, against eventual winner Sheamus in 2012. Indeed most of the fans expected Jericho to win this tussle (and he perhaps should have), but the two put on a great mini contest to seal the Celtic Warrior’s ascendancy.

At 30 seconds shy of five hours, Jericho can claim the longest time spent in cumulative Rumbles, and it isn’t even close. While you’d have to think he has finally definitively burned his bridges with WWE, it’s tough to see that record getting beaten any time soon.
