10 Best WWE Shows That Don't Exist Anymore

4. Action Zone

Listen to Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman talk during an interview on Steve Austin's podcast, and it becomes obvious what his favourite match of all time is. Incredibly, the bout actually took place on the old 'Action Zone' program, a show which started airing in 1994. Aired on Sunday mornings, Action Zone was treated pretty seriously by WWF officials when it first appeared. Closing out the very first episode, Bret Hart defeated Owen Hart in a WWF Heavyweight Title match. To put things into context, the sibling rivalry was one of the federation's biggest storylines that year, and co-headlined the SummerSlam 1994 Pay-Per-View. The next week, Waltman's favourite bout took place. As the 1-2-3 Kid, the man teamed with Razor Ramon to battle Shawn Michaels and Diesel for the WWF Tag-Team Titles. According to Waltman, the match is one of the greatest tag efforts fans are ever likely to see. The fantastic altercation perfectly encapsulated what Action Zone should have been all about, intense in-ring performances. By the following year, the show wasn't as important, and it was phased out as little more than a highlights show by late-1995. Action Zone was cancelled the following year.
