10 Best WWE SmackDown Matches 2015

1. Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler (Dec 22)

Usually, the Christmas episodes of WWE programming offer up little in the way of actual wrestling. Routinely, the company pad out the shows with weak humour and short bouts. On the live December 22 Smackdown telecast, there were some segments like that. Thankfully, there were also tremendous matches to help the show along too. Joining The New Day vs. The Lucha Dragons in the terrific match category was the main event Triple Threat encounter for the Intercontinental Title. As the new champion, Dean Ambrose looked like a babyface who was ready to go to war. Pre-match promos from all involved helped add some spice to the match, but it was the actual content of the scrap itself which thrilled. Going around 15 minutes, the trio looked like they had a point to prove with their respective performances. Dolph Ziggler, in particular, was on fire. Too often throughout 2015, Ziggler has been a bit part player, which is a shame given his obvious talent. The intensity was there during this match, capping off Smackdown in 2015 with an absolute stormer of a bout. What other Smackdown matches from 2015 do you fondly remember?
