Here's another story that does involve WCW but also has loads to do with the WWF.

After the fabled 'Montreal Screwjob' incident, Bret Hart left the company for Atlanta and...lost his love for the pro wrestling industry. By 1999, he was very much going through the motions in WCW and couldn't care less about the quality of his performance or fighting for a spot on the roster. That greatly upset Dustin Rhodes.

Hart told Austin on his 'Broken Skull Sessions' appearance that he shared a backstage convo with Rhodes about the thrill of performing. When Dustin said he couldn't wait to get out there and give the fans a show because he loved wrestling so much, Bret fired back, "What's to love?". Ouch.

Rhodes got teary-eyed and repeated that he'd adore wrestling no matter what happened in his career. His powerful retort stuck in Hart's mind for years, and it clearly affected him enough to remember it during Austin's podcast.
