Betrayed slightly by an underwhelming conclusion in 2015's Andre The Giant Battle Royal, The Miz and Mizdow's comedy pairing was a fine return to form for the 'A-Lister' and creative highlight for the former Damien Sandow.

Miz' polished Hollywood persona didn't race out of the blocks in 2014, so damaged as he was by a wretched babyface turn after his WWE Title dismantling at the hands of John Cena back in 2011. Sandow's magnificent comic timing elevated him over the hump though, inflating his already sky-high sense of self-importance as the pair raced up the undercard.

A copycat 'stunt double', the rechristened 'Mizdow' was a hoot at ringside mirroring the trials and tribulations of his brainless boss. The duo even scooped the Tag Team Titles and piloted a boo/yay routine later popularised by Sheamus and Cesaro upon their own strange bedfellows championship victory two years later.

Perhaps overachieving in the spot, the company's true feelings on the angle were exposed in its collapse. The Miz escaped unharmed, but still had to wait a year for his wife Maryse to join him at ringside at WWE to start truly giving a toss again. Freeing himself from his shackles ultimately didn't benefit Sandow - he was literally eliminated from the Battle Royal seconds after rallying on his gaffer, and was shunted back down the card as a duff Randy Savage impersonator within weeks.
