10 Best WWE Survivor Series Teams Ever

3. The Alliance - Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Booker T, Rob Van Dam & Shane McMahon (Survivor Series 2001)

The Alliance was a team in 2001 that made up the remains of the WCW/ECW roster, with a bit of WWE star power to put it over the top. The team consisted of WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin at the end of his hottest point, the wrestler most associated with ECW, Rob Van Dam, 5 Time WCW Champion Booker T, The Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle, and Shane McMahon, who was willing to jump off of anything in a quest for respect. Despite the loss they suffered to Team WWF, this team had to be crafted as a credible threat, and should be remembered as such. Seeing how everyone anticipated a WWF victory, the star power on this squad was able to create a small bit of doubt. Compared to many other teams over time, what sticks out is the classic formula, Hall Of Famers at or near their zeniths, with someone who is very good. For the average fan, Shane McMahon doesn€™t seem like a great choice on paper to fill out this squad, however he was an awesome character at the time and would put himself on the line in the name of entertainment.
