A couple of years ago, it looked like Y2J was nearing the end of the road, wrestling-career-wise.

His lacklustre feuds with Fandango and Bray Wyatt showcased how predictable his runs would go: surprise return, do Jericho schtick on the mic, put over new talent, leave, repeat.

But his latest run as a heel, feuding then partnering and then feuding again with AJ Styles, seems to have rejuvenated the former Undisputed Champion. His work on the mic is as sharp as it ever was; his recent promo in his home country of Canada at WWE Roadblock is as good as any he's ever done.

Now, it's a tall order to ask a WWE Legend to return to their home locale and be treated like a heel, but Jericho was able to accomplish exactly that without even doing a single wrestling move.

Prior to his latest run though, his programs with Edge and CM Punk from earlier in the decade also showcased Jericho's brilliance on the mic. As a babyface, Y2J has had difficulty maintaining prolonged interest in his character, but as a heel, he's fire and his promos have kept him in the spotlight.
