It should come as no surprise that the resurgent Usos were WWE's most successful tag team last season, but while Jimmy and Jey amassed a tag record of 15-7-0, their contrasting singles fortunes split them.

Without his brother by his side, Jey went 2-5 in 2017, while Jimmy closed the year on 4-5 - still a losing record, but enough to see him slide into the top ten/ Strictly speaking, he is the most successful member of the company's most important tandem, though The Usos' individual numbers are mostly arbitrary.

It doesn't really matter that Jimmy and Jey have slightly different records, as they'll always be booked on the exact same level. Their tag work is what shines through. There's no use putting stock into their singles fortunes, because barring a lengthy injury to one of them, they'll never be pushed as solo wrestlers.

Regardless, Jimmy's raw figures necessitate his position on the list. Look for him to continue down a similar path in 2018: him and Jey remain positioned as SmackDown's top tag team, and will likely spend the year feuding with a multitude of contenders.
