10 Best WWE Wrestler Win/Loss Records Of 2016

2. American Alpha (W15 - L5 - D0)

Until a few weeks ago, the dominant narrative was that WWE had botched American Alpha's main roster promotion, and that they duo weren't half as compelling as they were in NXT. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable looked among the brand's brightest stars following July's draft, but it hadn't panned-out, and by December, many had them ranked towards the foot of the tag team pile.

Looking at the numbers, this argument just doesn't stack up. Statistically, American Alpha were the most successful tag team in WWE last year, and their win/loss record trumps even that of The New Day. They finished 2016 with a win percentage of 75%, and if they'd been able to turn just one of those losses into a win, they'd top our list with 80%.

This is without even mentioning their recent SmackDown Tag Team Title victory, which cements them as SD's top babyface unit. Sure, they've had some disappointing losses in big, multi-team matches, but that's hardly their fault. For all the talk of their apparent downturn, American Alpha's SmackDown record is significantly stronger than their old NXT numbers.

Jordan & Gable aren't as over as they were at Full Sail University, but that will come with time. They're all set for a blistering 2017, and while they might suffer from SmackDown's current lack of tag team competition, they'll be at the heart of everything in the division.
