10 Best WWE Wrestlers Of 2020 (So Far)
8. Charlotte Flair
Charlotte’s push has been extremely controversial this year, with her winning both the Royal Rumble and NXT women’s championship viewed as unnecessary decisions by a large majority of the fan base. She’s been prominent on all three televised brands to negative reviews, with pinning Asuka despite her being the women’s champion on that brand and not taking the pinfall to Io Shirai in their recent triple threat with Rhea being highlights of bad publicity.
Should Charlotte be treated as if she’s more worthwhile than most of the other women on the roster? Absolutely not, and even as a big fan of her, it’s getting to be a lot seeing her dominate on every show and not take a lot of clean losses along the way. However, looking at her work in ring in 2020, she’s had nothing but bangers. Genuinely great TV matches with Bayley and Asuka, fantastic heel work in the build up to WrestleMania, a mostly excellent performance in the Royal Rumble, phenomenal chemistry with Io Shirai in the aforementioned triple threat and most importantly, a minor classic with Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania.
Despite her over-saturation, she’s got immense talent in ring and is one of the best heel workers in the company right now. She’s adapted to empty arena flawlessly, with her chops in particular improving in quality, and hasn’t had a dud big match since the start of the year. She’s earned her spot on this list.
