10 Best WWE Wrestlers Of 2020 (So Far)
7. Rhea Ripley
Speaking of Charlotte’s minor classic at WrestleMania, her opponent Rhea Ripley has had one hell of a year so far. You can argue about how she shouldn’t have lost at 'Mania or taken the pinfall at In Your House, but the fact remains that she was part of the first women’s TakeOver main event in five years and got a 20 minute singles match at WrestleMania where she looked better than ever before. She’s not being buried or mistreated, she’s got a huge future ahead of her and has already done so much this year!
While her year started off pretty rough with a sadly mediocre match with Toni Storm at Worlds Collide, she bounced back with the great Bianca Belair match at TakeOver: Portland, where she felt like a defending champion. Her babyface run wasn’t totally convincing until WrestleMania, where she became one of the few WWE wrestlers right now to sell the leg well, fighting desperately to stay strong against a crueler, more experienced force of terror. Her role as the third woman in the In Your House triple threat shouldn’t be undermined either, as she helped ensure that it was one of the better modern matches of its kind.
Rhea’s still got aspects to improve in her promos and offence, but her upside is huge and this year has proved that she can handle the spotlight brilliantly.
