10 Better Finishers For Current WWE Superstars
1. Roman Reigns
Current Finisher: Spear
Roman Reigns is in desperate need of a new finisher; not just because the Spear is easily the most overused maneuver in WWE, but because his version looks so incredibly weak. If you look at spears used by the likes of Goldberg, Rhyno, and to a lesser extent Bobby Lashley, when they used the Spear, they carried their opponents forward like an actual tackle, using their weight and momentum to bring their opponents down.
Reigns, on the other hand, runs towards his opponent, leaps, and wraps his arms around their waist, with little-to-no actual contact between Reigns’ shoulder and his opponent’s abdomen. If he wants to present himself as a ‘Juggernaut’, he needs a real finisher.
Suggested New Finisher: the Vertical Suplex Side Slam

This move is the ultimate example of power and domination. The user lifts their opponent up in a vertical Suplex, which is already one of the most widely-used ‘power’ moves in wrestling, but instead of falling backwards, the user quickly transitions into a falling side slam, driving their opponent down into the canvas with considerable force.
While it might not 100% guarantee that Reigns would be taken more seriously as a wrestler by more jaded fans, this move would certainly build-up his strength-based wrestling style, and would be a more effective tool in presenting him as a real powerhouse.
