10 Better World Champion Options Than Brock Lesnar And Randy Orton
7. Braun Strowman
Obviously the elbow injury puts a damper on things, but before he got hurt, Raw was basically the Braun Strowman show. He was the focal point, showing up in multiple segments throughout the night, as well as main eventing multiple Raws and Raw-specific pay-per-views like Fastlane and Payback.
His popularity is a mix of fan vitriol against Roman Reigns, a rocket-up-the-ass push from creative, and (to be fair) Braun’s ability to carry his own weight when given the ball. His two Raw main events against Big Show were the best matches Show has had in a long time.
The problem with Braun is that, for as good as a job he has done with receiving the ball, he’s really more of a byproduct of the booking than his own talent. There are people higher on this list still more deserving of being Universal Champion than Braun at this moment.
