Shawn Michaels’ most infamous (and hilarious) bumps occurred during his SummerSlam 2005 match against Hulk Hogan, in which Michaels threw himself around the ring, mocking each move Hogan hit. If selling is an art, Michaels showed up to Washington, DC. with a whole gallery. Despite this, HBK has taken his share of barbaric bumps during his legendary career.

Michaels’ most significant injury occurred during a casket match against The Undertaker at Royal Rumble 1998. A backdrop onto the casket left him with two herniated discs. Despite this, when he returned for his 2002-2010 run, Shawn didn’t scale back his spots.

At Armageddon 2002, during an already savage Three Stages of Hell match against Triple H, Michaels was shoved from a ladder in the ring onto stacked tables on the outside. Another brutal bump at WrestleMania 24 is largely forgotten due to the overwhelming sentimentality of it occurring during Ric Flair’s retirement match. Michaels attempted to hit a moonsault from the ring onto Flair on the outside but found the announcer’s table. Though the top of the table broke, the structure remained rigid damaging Michaels’ ribcage.
