10 Big Concerns Over Daniel Bryan's WWE Return

7. Does He Have The Long Term Potential Of Roman Reigns?

In some ways, WWE booked themselves into a problem with Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. There's no denying Reigns' popularity and megastar credentials. He was widely regarded as the clear Royal Rumble 2015 winner. There was obvious potential for WWE to make a star by launching Reigns into Mania and having him defeat Brock Lesnar. From there, the 29 year old has long term potential to be the next John Cena. Bryan throws all of that into disarray. With WWE announcing the Yes Movement leader for the Rumble match, it will be very difficult for any other babyface to get over as winner. You're going to have a Batista situation if you don't have Bryan winning that Rumble match. Anyone else winning is going to be a heel, whether WWE like it or not. The concern at this point, is that Bryan could inadvertently extinguish the potential in Reigns. There's no doubting in the short term that Bryan is the star, but in the long term it has to be Reigns to carry the company forward. You need to make Roman at some point, and if WWE don't do it now, the opportunity might be forever lost.
