10 Big Concerns Over Daniel Bryan's WWE Return

5. Will WWE Screw Him Over?

The WWE never wanted to make Bryan a champion in 2014. Their choice for the big project that year was Dave Batista, with Vince McMahon believing that Batista vs Orton at Mania would be the biggest match of all time. Bryan inadvertently ruined those plans. Fans were vocal in chanting Bryan's name in segments that didn't involve him. They booed Batista (who was meant to be a super over returning babyface) and gave Bryan some of the loudest reactions of this decade. We hadn't seen a babyface so naturally over in a long time - WWE had no choice but to switch course. Now they might give Bryan the receipt for all of that. Don't be too surprised if creative look to throw him under the bus. Remember after winning the title he had the god awful feud with Kane, in which Bryan ran away and was holding hands with his wife all the time? More hokeyness could be on the way.
