Before you absolutely lose it at the title of this entry, this isn't a swipe at Kevin Owens - quite the opposite, in fact. KO has been enjoying one of the best runs of his career and, by all rights, that should absolutely end with him winning the Universal Championship - we all know he deserves at least three reigns for some of the garbage he's been forced into over the last three years. However, it shouldn't happen right now at the expense of Roman Reigns.

Reigns is enjoying what is, without question, the best singles run of his career. As SmackDown's monster heel main event star, he's far more convincing than he ever was as SuperCena II as he makes both a believable bully and a formidable champ. To end that dominance now in the mouth of WrestleMania would undercut all of that hard work he accomplished since he won the gold. And having that kind of work undercut in the mouth of WrestleMania is something that Owens himself knows all about.

Reigns is downright unbeatable now and that makes him a perfect opponent for an aspiring champion - be it the winner of the Royal Rumble or the Elimination Chamber - come WrestleMania time, so he must hold onto the belt until them. But with how convincing a challenger Owens has been - it's easy to see why some Roman Reigns fans might be concerned about the pair's Last Man Standing Match at the Royal Rumble.
