10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE SummerSlam 2020
6. Dominik Mysterio Might Not Be Ready For The Spotlight
Without a single doubt, the best-booked storyline leading into SummerSlam 2020 is Rey Mysterio’s son taking vengeance on the cult leader who gouged his father’s eye on steel stairs. Wrestling is always absolutely insane.
While the Drew/Randy feud is enjoyable, it started via a challenge on the mic and has never truly felt natural beyond a clashing of stars on excellent career runs. Dominik and Seth have an actual narrative, and whether you’re a fan or not, it’s deeply investing and interesting stuff at a time where WWE’s weekly shows have been so boring.
The Eye for an Eye match divided opinion, this likely will too, but no one can doubt how much Dominik Mysterio has put into this feud already. The beating he took from kendo sticks on last week’s Raw cemented him as someone willing to take the punishments of the wrestling business, someone worthy of an audience’s respect.
However; there are natural doubts for his level of experience, he might be great in the Performance Centre training facilities, but for his first proper match to be such a high-pressure affair, there’s always the worry that he won’t be able to excel as much as he wants. Still, no matter what the match looks like, we all wish the best for him in WWE.
