10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE Survivor Series 2020
9. Short Event With No Variety
In WWE's case, less is definitely more, but when that less consists of little more than five matches based on nothing but forced conflict over this notion of brand supremacy, you have a problem.
The Raw go-home show is over and, as things currently stand, Survivor Series only consists of six matches: The two five-on-five elimination matches and the four champion vs. champion bouts. Now, six isn't necessarily bad - and it's certainly better than the four that were announced ahead of Hell In A Cell - but none of those matches have any kind of flavour outside of the theme of the PPV.
That means that we're left with an event free from any kind of real animosity. After all, some of these superstars have only just shown up on their respective brands because of the WWE Draft, so to expect real drama in an engineered environment like this is probably asking too much. That's where some accompanying contests that furthered genuine feuds could have come in handy.
It's a good thing we have The Undertaker's 'Final Farewell' to look forward to because, that aside, Survivor Series looks emotionally flat (in spite of how promising the match line-up looks).
