10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE Survivor Series 2020
8. More Potentially Last-Minute Additions To The Card
The problem with having a small group of matches without any kind of variety in the run-up to Survivor Series is that the creative team may suddenly decide to beef up the card ahead of the event, meaning that we could end up with one or two more last-minute additions. It's unlikely given that both brands are equally represented, but stranger things have happened in the WWE.
These last-minute additions may seem like a good idea in theory, but more often than not, they're little more than an excuse to space out the major matches and fail to offer anything remotely engaging. Why? Well, because there is rarely any kind story behind them simply because the involved superstars don't usually get a chance to tell one before the creative team decide to place them on the card.
If Survivor Series does get a number of last-minute arrivals, it could make the event even more irksome than it's already threatening to be - because all of the major matches feel thrown together without any real build or story as it is. Small match card or not, we don't need more of them.
