10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE Survivor Series 2020

2. Neither Major Champion Can Afford A Loss Right Now

Drew McIntyre's sudden win over Randy Orton on Raw returned the WWE Championship to his waist and restored the Survivor Series main event we've all been wanting to see. But as WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns prepares to take on the 'Scottish Psychopath', there is one glaring problem: Neither champion can really afford to lose right now.

Reigns is on the run of his career, looking stronger than ever (naturally this time, too) as the blue brand's dominant bully of a champion. Thus far, there haven't been any weaknesses in sight and that's gone a long way in establishing him as a true - and violent - force-to-be-reckoned with. It would be risky to showcase any now - even if they protected him with the finish.

As for Drew, his endless program with Randy Orton presented him as a champion that couldn't defeat his venomous challenger without help - something that his loss to 'The Viper' at Hell In A Cell only reinforced. His effectively sudden - and somewhat unexpected - victory over Randy on Raw has allowed him to regain some of his momentum (along with his championship). An immediate loss to Roman Reigns would squander that momentum all over again.

This one could be an outstanding physical fight but it does feel like WWE have booked themselves into a corner with this one. Then again, we already know how they tend to get themselves out of these situations...
