10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE TLC 2020
6. Not Enough Gimmick Matches
As tiresome as the notion of a PPV centered on a match stipulation is, TLC is arguably one of the few that gets away with it. While an event like Hell In A Cell continues to dilute the barbaric concept that inspired it, TLC is just a chance for WWE to produce some entertaining Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches or Tables or Ladder matches. Unfortunately, this year's event is looking like it could be pretty light on the stipulations.
Of the six matches on the card thus far, we have just two TLC matches to look forward to. Now, call your writer crazy but that just feels a little disappointing considering we're talking about the final PPV of the year - a PPV that will no doubt litter the stage area with chairs, ladders and tables in a bid to build something of a destructive aesthetic. Why aren't there any normal Ladder matches on the card? Where are all the tables, damn it?
As we've already discussed, WWE could add some last-minute additions to the card, but would any of them be deserving of those stipulations when we have major titles being defended in normal singles/tag team matches?
Of course, things could always end up going the other way...
