10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE TLC 2020
3. The Women's Tag Team Match Is Already Falling Apart
It goes to show you how bad things are when a match that we all had pretty low expectations for could still end up disappointing but that's Monday Night Raw in a nutshell.
The endless attempts to book Lana as a top face and yet portray her as a completely incompetent fool don't just undermine the great character she once was when managing Rusev, it highlights how truly awful the program is. It's not quite at the head-scratching lows of the baffling RETRIBUTION angle yet but Monday night's development took it pretty close.
Forcing Lana's incompetence down the throats of everyone all while dragging the Women's Tag Team Championship and the Raw Women's Champion into it was bad enough, but the inexplicable decision to suddenly take her out of the feud that was built around her with an "injury" is truly beyond belief.
If you're gonna go there, go there. Instead, creative has rewritten the narrative nobody wanted and somehow managed to make an even greater shambles of it. Now Asuka must find a mystery partner in a Women's Tag Team title program when she should be defending her own gold instead.
