10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE TLC 2020

4. Not Ready For Asuka

Raw Women's Champion Asuka will have a well-deserved place on the card at TLC, but unfortunately, she's in the wrong title match. Yes, the 'Empress of Tomorrow' has found herself in the Women's Tag Team Titles picture after saving Lana from yet another announce table assault from Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler - and, as fun as she's made the whole thing, it's hard to feel like it isn't a waste of her talents.

Asuka has been in the Raw Women's Championship picture since May, holding the belt uninterrupted since August (which she won from Sasha Banks - who ended her previous reign) and WWE has yet to do anything of importance with her or the gold. From being a plot device in the Sasha Banks/Bayley program to suddenly facing Zelina Vega without any real build (in a match that almost landed on the Kick-Off show), it just feels like WWE is continually failing to see the value in Asuka.

This title reign was supposed to reward the Empress for the two years of misdirecting after that awful program with Carmella destroyed her momentum, but she's spent most of it either existing or getting overlooked entirely - so allow your writer to continue the monthly trend of saying: Asuka deserves better.
