When Christian popped up around halfway through Raw 25 to host an episode of The Peep Show, there was something clearly missing. It is now very rare to see Captain Charisma on WWE TV without his former tag team partner, Edge, at his side. Given the Rated-R Superstar's status as an 11-time world champion and his positive relationship with the company, his presence seemed like a given in advance of the show.
The answer to the question of why he didn't appear is a very simple one. Prior to Raw 25, Edge tweeted that he wouldn't be able to attend the show because he is currently on location in Ireland. Edge is shooting episodes of the History Channel drama Vikings, which he joined as a recurring character in its current fifth season.
Despite the obvious reason for his absence from Raw 25, it was a shame not to see Edge get the opportunity to share the spotlight with his friend during the show. The segment in which Christian featured felt rather short-changed and it's possible it might have been given a few more minutes if it had benefited from Edge's star power.
