3. Was It The Right Time To Put The Tag Team Titles On The Prime Time Players?
There was something off about The Prime Time Players (Darren Young & Titus O'Neil) beating The New Day's Big E and Xavier Woods for the tag team titles. There just wasn't enough build up to the change, so the reaction to the match was weird. When O'Neil hit Woods with that spinning spinebuster and the ref counted to three the reaction was more of a "that's it?" as compared to a "yeah new champs!" The reason it was flat is because they only built up this feud for two weeks since the PTPers came close to winning at Elimination Chamber. It would have been nice if the feud got more than two weeks of build before doing the title change because The New Day are such entertaining champions who really helped to revive the tag team division. Now that New Day are challenges they become a little less interesting. The moment of new champions winning the gold is supposed to be special. Instead, this felt like something WWE did only because they wanted to book a title change on the show and this was the one that made the most sense. The duo of O'Neil and Young deserve it because they've worked hard to get there. it's just a shame it wasn't treated as a bigger deal when they won.
