10 Big Questions From WWE Raw (7th Sept)

Picking the bones out of Seth Rollins' bad day at the office.

The overriding theme of this week's Raw seemed to be giving Seth Rollins a hard time. He lost two matches and came off worse in every verbal confrontation (of which there were many). Sting, Sheamus and Edge all had things to say to Seth, and the WWE Champion seemed sufficiently weakened each time. He was intimidated, humiliated, and otherwise bested throughout the show, and although credit must be given to Seth for giving his all in each segment, the booking raises several questions. This weak booking of Rollins has been a major point of concern since capturing the title at Wrestlemania 31, and things certainly seemed to come to a head this Monday. Of course, this isn't the only major query fans will have after Raw. We saw the tentative beginning of a new feud, the continuation of several others, and the potential revamp of a stale tag team. If you're left scratching your head, don't worry - you're not the only one. Here are the ten biggest questions raised by this week's edition of Monday Night Raw.

10. Are New Day And Rollins Going To Be A Permanent Thing?

In their short backstage promo segment, the New Day and Rollins showed a great deal of chemistry and comedic timing, Seth playing the exasperated superior to the Tag Team Champs' excited assistants. The whole thing was reminiscent of Kurt Angle's dealings with Edge and Christian back in 2000 - perhaps a deliberately drawn parallel, given the legendary tag team's decision to crash the scene a few seconds later. Similarly to 'Team ECK', the New Day and Rollins would best work as a loose association, rather than a bonafide stable. The two parties could concentrate on their respective divisions, occasionally aligning to take on common enemies or help one another out. I can't be the only person praying that this is a more permanent alignment. Rollins and the New Day have arguably been the two best things in the WWE over recent months, and combining the two is too entertaining a prospect to miss. https://twitter.com/TheFansPodcast/status/641067510540947457
