Rumblings of a new feud between Kevin Owens and Intercontinental Champion Ryback began last week on Smackdown, with Owens cutting a promo on those who judge him for how he looks, ending it with the words "feed me more". This was clearly a jibe at Ryback, but for what purpose? It seemed very out of line with the rest of his promo. The simmering rivalry continued on Raw, with Owens sarcastically wishing Ryback luck before his match with Seth Rollins, warning him not to bite off more than he can chew. Clearly there's a theme here, but it's a poorly defined one so far. Surely if Owens' frustration is centred around body image, he'd be better off feuding with someone like Ziggler (a chiselled pretty-boy) or Orton (the WWE superstar archetype). All in all, this just seems a cheap excuse to shoehorn Owens into another title picture. While I can't complain about a performer as talented as Kevin getting another title shot, a more logical reason for his beef would be nice - even something as simple as "you have the Intercontinental Championship; I want it." Hopefully a proper justification emerges soon.
