3. Is Ambrose The New Jeff Hardy?

Well, sort of. This isn't to say that the two share many similarities as performers, and Jeff is an altogether different kind of lunatic to boot. But the two are similar in the sense that they have both remained hugely popular with live crowds despite not being pushed to the moon by WWE.

There is no feeling that Ambrose is in any way WWE's next big thing in the way that Roman Reigns is. Yet, The Lunatic Fringe remains a crowd favourite. Less colourful than Jeff, but a far, far better talker.

Ultimately, WWE were forced to recognise Hardy's popularity and put the title on him as fan support refused to die down. Could Dean Ambrose's career follow a similar path?

As a long-time WWE fan, I have always enjoyed watching men pretend to beat each other up while wearing spandex. Extra points for facepaint, none for tassels. I love all things sci-fi. If there's a 'Star' somewhere in the title, I'll probably dig it. I'm a huge football fan too. For my sins, I support Manchester United.
