10 Big Signings WWE Must Make In 2017
6. Ricochet
1176403Few men can rival Ricochet’s high-flowing prowess. Whether working for Lucha Underground, NJPW, or on the indies, Ricochet is one of the absolute best in the world at what he does. He’s an athletic phenom capable of pulling-off the kind of flips and dives that should only be possible in the movies, and you’re guaranteed a spectacle every time he steps inside the ring.
WWE have reportedly had their eye on Ricochet for quite a while, but his Lucha Underground contract makes things complicated. Nobody’s quite sure when he’ll be eligible to negotiate with other companies, and he’s probably making a decent sum between his independent and Japanese work regardless. It’d take a sizeable offer to bring him in, but Ricochet would be an immediate boon to NXT or 205 Live, and if you don’t believe us, just check out his NJPW match with Will Ospreay from earlier in the year.
Ricochet might suffer on the microphone, but he’s far from uncharismatic on the ring, and while often written off as a spot monkey, he’s a surprisingly diverse wrestler. Ricochet brings a solid technical base to the table, and he knows exactly when to slow a match down, and when to speed it up. WWE Cruiserweight scene is crying-out for a spark at the moment, and Ricochet would provide just that.
