10 Big Signings WWE Must Make In 2017

5. Adam Cole

Adam Cole is one of Ring of Honor’s most important performers, but he might not be around much longer. The former ROH Champion’s contract is set to expire next April, and though there’s always a chance he’ll stay with the company, there’s a much higher chance he ends-up in WWE. His name always crops up when potential signings are discussed, and the timing has never been better.

Cole is perfect NXT Champion material. He’s a solid all-round wrestler who’s more than capable of pulling-off great match after great match, but his greatest strengths lie away from the ring. Cole is extremely charismatic, and he already knows how to cut a great heel promo. He has proven his ability to connect with the audience in every company he’s worked for, and there’s no reason to assume he won’t be able to do the same in WWE.

At 27 years old, there’s still plenty of time left for Cole to make it as a megastar. WWE could bring him in knowing that they can afford to be patient with him, and this would give Cole plenty of time to perfect the company’s style. There’s no downside to acquiring Cole next Spring, even at this relatively early stage in his career.
