10 Big Talking Points From WWE Raw (July 11)
2. Where 2J?
Raw was a good show this week, but everything's better with Chris Jericho. Unfortunately, the multi-time world champion was nowhere to be found. The only mention he received came early in the show, when it was announced that the returning Randy Orton would be the guest on an episode of Jericho's Highlight Reel at Battleground.
Given that the Highlight Reel (sadly) precludes Jericho from wrestling at the Pay-Per-View, there's no pressing need to have him on Raw - he has no match to build up. Still, Jericho's used 2016 to prove himself one of the most valuable members of the WWE roster all over again. It would have been nice to have been graced with the gift of Jericho.
Hopefully, after the brand split, Y2J is given a fresh new program leading into a match at SummerSlam. The 45-year-old star is reportedly going to be working on a Fozzy album in 2017, but if WWE has him for the rest of the year, they should use him wisely.
