10 Big WWE Face/Heel That Must Happen In 2018

7. Heel: Bobby Roode

Poor old Bobby Roode hasn't had the best of luck on the main roster. His first feud was a worthless back-and-forth squabble with serial momentum-killer Dolph Ziggler, and he has now been thrust into a three-way United States Championship storyline with 'The Show-Off' and Baron Corbin - the least interesting of all WWE's pushed wrestlers. Once 'The Guy' in NXT, he has become 'A Guy' on SmackDown, and much of that is down to his alignment.

Roode is one of the best cocky heels in the business, yet WWE are attempting to push him as a babyface. From his slow, grinding ring style to the grandiose entrance, everything about him screams 'villain,' and it's time to consider a turn, particularly if the company intend on pushing him as a main eventer someday.

That entrance theme means Bobby will always get cheered by certain sects of the audience. Still, it's a key part of his 'Glorious' identity, and can't be stripped away from him at this point. Retain the song, let him go back to his old NXT ways, and there's no reason Roode can't be a main roster success story.
