1. The Kids
John Cena is primarily targeted at a kids audience, and if you've been to a WWE show live, you'll know that so much business is done to that audience segment. So many seats are full of children and their parents, and nearly all of those kids are kitted out in the Cena merchandise. Simply put, there's going to be a lot of hearts broken in the month that Cena is away. Children in the USA and Europe are going to have their dreams destroyed. That could do longer term damage, especially with miffed parents who may then be put off buying a WWE ticket again. You order a steak, and get a hamburger, you don't then go back to the restaurant. On television the same problem exits. WWE have made their product so kid orientated, that when you take away the hero of the children, that demographic is going to switch off. Cena deserves his break, but WWE are going to have to really raise the stakes to maintain viewership, subscriptions and attendances. Maybe we'll end up with The Undertaker working November after all - the company is going to have to do something big to combat the loss of their biggest star!
