This WrestleMania season is make or break for Roman Reigns. The company tried with him last year, and saw enough potential to go back to the well this year. Up until the Royal Rumble, the faith looked well placed. Roman was getting over. But then it became all about Triple H. Distracted by the idea of a family member in the 'Mania main event, Vince McMahon took his eye off the next franchise star. Rather than protecting him, Vince booked Reigns to lose the belt to The Game in the Royal Rumble. The collapse in popularity has been clear ever since, with fans back to booing The Big Dog. WrestleMania season is now looking like a nightmare for Reigns. WWE have put him up against a cool heel, in a feud that makes his eventual victory look like a cheap prefabricated gimmick. Even though he has earned it, with several great matches last year, WWE's presentation of him is still as if they've handed it all to him. At this point, it is inevitable that Reigns is booed, and it'll likely sink his match with Triple H. Far from being the making of the next franchise star, it is looking more and more likely that this 'Mania season will leave both WWE and Roman Reigns resented.
