10 Big WWE Problems WrestleMania Season Will Expose
9. Raw Ratings Won't Improve That Dramatically
Raw ratings are going to improve. That's inevitable during WrestleMania season. Not only is the product more interesting, there is also the fact that football season is over, meaning more people will be tuning into Raw. However, don't expect a sudden or massive jump in viewership. The numbers are going to remain on the low side of expectations, which will of course be a concern to WWE's investors. The reason for the lower viewership is less about content, and more about culture. Viewing habits have changed and there's less of a need to watch episodic television each and every week, especially live. WWE YouTube videos doing millions of views each Tuesday morning is proof of this. The company can present compelling storylines and popular performers, but the modern fan doesn't necessarily need to watch live to see it all unfold. 'Mania season is going to be another example of this.
