If you thought Wade Barrett was going to be a main event star by the end of 2014, well then I'm afraid I've got some bad news... Sorry about that. Even though the gimmick seemed a bit goofy, Barrett actually seemed to be getting some traction with his new Bad News character which would hopefully have translated to a bigger push and a run towards the top of the card. Unfortunately, a very mistimed injury put Barrett on the shelf and derailed whatever momentum he had built up with the audience. Barrett is set to return once the calendar changes over 2015 and hopefully Barrett can pick up where he left off. The creative team of WWE seems to have the attention span of a fruit fly, so Barrett's return hinges on the staff remaining loyal to the original character and booking him strong once he returns to the ring.
