In October, all the presses stopped when it emerged that former Intercontinental Champion Carlito Caribbean Cool had apparently been in contact with his ex-employers about a possible return to the company. There was no official word about communication from either party; the source of this breaking news was a shoot interview with Puerto Rican legend Savio Vega.

We've heard nothing since, either. But the idea of Carlos Colón's son making a comeback, though a relative wrestling irrelevance these days, is far from far fetched. WWE clearly harbours a certain loyalty towards the esteemed Colón family: patriarch Carlos remains in the Hall of Fame despite his alleged cover-up of Bruiser Brody's murder, and brother Primo and cousin Epico are remarkably still on the company's books even though it seems they've vanished off the face of the Earth.

The apple-munching Carlito is the pick of the punnet, and it could just be a case of agreeing terms on an unlikely comeback.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
